We discuss how and why he picked Colorado, how he narrowed down what elk unit he wanted to hunt, long distance scouting techniques, and other resources he is using to get the best knowledge of the units he has on his list.
We also talk about the different hunting gear he will need for this trip, the amount of money he is going to spend for that gear, and the physical training he will need to do to prepare for the higher elevation. We touch on the western preference point system and what we are doing with those points to prepare for future hunts.
