Often times people think you cant go out west to hunt big game unless you have the latest and greatest gear, Jordan covers several ways to avoid that school of thought. Hunting early archery season will save you money by not needing multiple layers.
You can buy used or military surplus equipment, or use those gift cards you received for Christmas. Look for deals in the Spring, lots of people off load their slightly used gear so they can upgrade to the newest gadget of layering system.
